How does the process work?
Here is what to expect becoming a foster with us and how to do so!
First: Apply using the “foster application” button!
Second: Once we receive and review your application, our foster coordinator will reach out via text message.
Third: Our foster coordinator will schedule a virtual home visit with you. Please ensure everyone living in your home is present for this!
Fourth: Following the virtual home visit, we will carefully select a rescue that we believe will suit what you are looking for as well as your routine type. You will join our foster group and can inquire on any animals posted. Once we find a good match-
Fifth: We will schedule for you to meet this foster and take them home!
During their time with you-
We cover food and supply costs
We cover vetting
We guide you in managing behaviors
We help transport if needed
Once your foster is fully vetted and ready to find their forever home, we begin the search!
Posting your rescue available to adopt is the first step! Make sure you are sending lots of photo’s and updates so we can advertise them too!
Applicants will be screened thoroughly. When we find a good fit, we reach out to schedule a meet and greet with you and the potential family.
If you are unable to make it, we will arrange transportation.
Once they find their forever home, you wish them well and whenever you are ready for your next foster, we will be here with options! There is no rush to this amount of time!
Foster FAQ’s

Fostering costs you $0. The only requirement is you love them, treat them as your own, and let us know when you are low on supplies!

To sign up to foster, the only requirement is that you agree to foster this pet until they find a new home. Please understand this can take time and they need time to adjust. If they are ultimately not a good fit for your home, we then ask you give us time to find a new foster. You also cannot have any criminal charges against animals on your record. If you rent, we must get landlord approval.

If you have a vacation or time away planned while fostering, we just ask you let us know right away so we can help find coverage. Sometimes this looks like the pet going to a boarding facility, other times we pay pet sitters in your home.

Our fosters do get first pick to decide if they would like to adopt our fosters. Foster fails happen, and that is okay! But you can not sign up just to trial animals until you find one cute enough to adopt.
